CareSpot and MedPost have come together with FastMed to provide patients and communities with greater access to high-quality, convenient, affordable and compassionate healthcare. Below are some frequently asked questions that you may have about CareSpot and MedPost joining FastMed.
What does this change mean?
CareSpot and MedPost clinics in Arizona, California, Florida and Texas are now part of FastMed. Read the press release here.
How is this coming together beneficial for me?
CareSpot and MedPost’s urgent care clinics are well-established with a reputation for high-quality medical care. They complement FastMed’s portfolio, which is distinguished by its commitment to superior patient service and adherence to the highest clinical standards. In addition, patients will have access to expanded services like occupational health, telemedicine, family medicine and more.
Where are the clinics located?
FastMed, CareSpot and MedPost together have 192 locations across 5 states: Arizona, California, Florida, North Carolina and Texas. Find your nearest location here.
How will CareSpot and MedPost joining FastMed affect my experience at the clinic?
You will continue to have a great patient experience at all of our clinics. We are in the process of expanding the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® in Ambulatory Healthcare across all CareSpot and MedPost clinics, which means you will be assured of consistently receiving the highest quality of care. Will the services provided change at the clinics?
FastMed provides a multitude of services at its clinics ranging from urgent care and occupational health services to family medicine, delivered both in-person and virtually. With CareSpot and MedPost joining FastMed, you will eventually have access to additional services like family medicine and telemedicine. You can learn more about our services here.
Will my provider remain the same at my clinic?
As always, we have multiple providers covering each clinic, and you will have the option of engaging with the same providers at the clinic you may typically visit.
Will my insurance still be accepted?
FastMed, CareSpot and MedPost accept most major insurance plans, including commercial as well as governmental plans, like Medicare and Medicaid. Complete list of insurance plans accepted by state here.
A few insurance plans will be out of network until FastMed can work with those payers to be in network. Meanwhile, you can still receive care as you always have at CareSpot and MedPost. The clinic will provide you options.
Will I still have access to my health records at either clinic?
You will continue to have access to your records at the clinic you normally visit. To request your medical records, contact email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org. FastMed patients can log in to MyChart or request their records by emailing email@example.com.
Will the prices change?
Your copays will continue to be charged as per your insurance plan with your carrier. A few insurance plans will be out of network until FastMed can work with those payers to be in network. Meanwhile you can still receive care and the clinic will provide you payment options.
Self-pay pricing changes are not anticipated as a result of combining the companies. However, self-pay pricing is subject to change anytime independent of CareSpot and MedPost joining FastMed.
Will hours change at the clinics?
Our clinics will continue to maintain the same hours of operation. Based on your needs, we are always evaluating the most convenient hours and may make changes accordingly in the future. You can find the latest hours of operation at your nearest location here.
