Everything after the initial checkin was good. When I first arrived for a scheduled appointment, the first clerk asked for my insurance information. When I told her that I had Tricare she asked if I had my child’s Benefits number which I responded no but had the SSN. She stated that she could not check her in without the benefit number, which seemed strange because Humana pulls billing based on SSN’s not the benefit number. So I proceeded to try to retrieve the benefits number from someone in the Tricare office however it was almost 4. I went to another clerk and was about to ask him a question about another topic and he asked what I was waiting on. I told him and he was able to quickly enter the SSN information and checked in by child. This delay allowed us to have to wait until nearly 4:45 to be seen when we were there 10 mins before our schedule appointment time, 3:45. I think more training should be done to ensure all front desk staff are competent in their jobs and knows there is usually another answer besides an immediate “no”. The rest of the appointment went flawless.
