CareSpot Opens Fifth Broward County Urgent Care Center

Opening at Coral Springs Responds to Large Patient Population

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. — To make access to healthcare even easier for people working and living in the densely-populated Broward County area, CareSpot is opening a fifth area urgent care location on June 10, 2013, at 1205 North University Drive in Coral Springs.

The new 2,950-square-foot location at Ramblewood Square is conveniently located in a 150,000-square-foot shopping center anchored by a Publix Super Market. This location will provide the same broad array of urgent care, well care and occupational health services found at the four other CareSpot locations throughout Broward County in Coconut Creek, Tamarac, Pompano Beach and Pembroke Pines. The center expects its Coral Springs location to be particularly helpful for those seeking occupational health services in the area, such as pre-employment physicals and care for work-related injuries.

CareSpot is working to provide as many options for urgent care as possible in the densely populated county — given traffic and transportation in this area, an additional location will make it more convenient for patients to receive urgent care close to home or work. The U.S. Census Bureau estimates the population of Broward County to have been 1.8 million people in 2012.

Patients at all of the area CareSpot centers benefit from the convenience of new online and mobile scheduling tools. AtCareSpot.com, customers can see wait times, save a spot in line before walking in, or book an appointment for a future time or day from their computers or smartphones. The new center will also feature new check-in tablets integrated with CareSpot.comfor a streamlined registration process when patients arrive, minimizing paperwork and thereby reducing wait time at the center.
