Not a long wait very friendly staff

Location is close to my home, ease of scheduling appointment online was great. The appointment was for my son as I wanted him evaluated for meningitis. When I checked in I told the lady at the front desk I wanted to keep it quiet as I didn’t want my son to hear and be frightened. She discreetly went to the back and told the nurse practioner or PA (her name was Kelly) and then they asked me to go back and talk to Kelly. When I walked up to Kelly she very loudly said “I can’t evaluate for meningitis here” and my son heard the whole thing and then jumped on his phone to Google what that meant. Kelly finally agreed to look at him and then said we need to go to the ER. She offered no explanation as to why they couldn’t further evaluate there. The ER doctor was very helpful and explained that clinics such as Carespot don’t have the ability to do the various blood tests that are helpful in ruling out other causes for his symptoms. It would have been nice if Kelly could have provided more information. When I got back in the car with my son he was alarmed based on what he heard and researched. This could have been handled much differently and I was very disappointed with the lack of care and professionalism displayed.
